Personââ¬â¢s world is a world separated from God, and humanââ¬â¢s world depends on Godââ¬â¢s world, so everything is the communication between the two worlds and its results. New England Weather :: essays research papers
In the New England area, the weather is very unpredictable due to the following reasons. New England sits right in the middle of the Jet Stream, a weather pattern that remains fairly consistent as it guides the weather for the entire United States. To the north of the Jet Stream, you have very cold Arctic air, and to the south of it, you have the warm moist Gulf air. These two factors help to create a very unstable atmosphere that can change the forecast of the weather at anytime. à à à à à Many New England states lie along bodies of water. This can also create an irregular weather environment because the warm air off the water can turn snow to rain in the winter, and a warm sunny day to a very chilly one in the summer. Elevation can also become a problem with weather forecasters due to the fact that the elevations of the New England states are all different. So at any one time, it can be snowing in New Hampshire, Raining in Massachusetts, cloudy in Rhode Island and Foggy in Connecticut. The randomness of such weather is the reason why, in New England if you do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦ do not like the weather outside, wait Five minutes and it will changeâ⬠¦

Analysis of “Ave Maria”
Bethany Thompson Professor Breese English 266 3 February 2009 Analysis of ââ¬Å"Ave Mariaâ⬠Frank Oââ¬â¢Haraââ¬â¢s poem, ââ¬Å"Ave Maria,â⬠encourages overprotective mothers to let their children experience life. The poem begins with the command, ââ¬Å"Mothers of America / let your kids go to the movies! â⬠He proposes a series of rationales for following this advice, including the conditional love of children who ââ¬Å"wonââ¬â¢t hate youâ⬠if they are permitted to do what they want. The true reason behind this directive, however, is made clear in lines 13 ââ¬â 16: ââ¬Å"they may even be grateful to you / for their first sexual experience / which only cost you a quarter / and didnââ¬â¢t upset the peaceful home. â⬠The idea that a parent could provide a childââ¬â¢s first sexual experience may be shocking to parents, but Oââ¬â¢Haraââ¬â¢s poem implies that by allowing them this experience, you have readied them for adulthood. Also, t he image of sexuality being priced like popcorn, ââ¬Å"a quarterâ⬠, is amusing; itââ¬â¢s the pleasures of adulthood at quite a bargain.Oââ¬â¢Hara initially contrasts the ââ¬Å"peaceful homeâ⬠ââ¬â a room, a yard, ââ¬Å"mothers,â⬠and ââ¬Å"little tykesâ⬠ââ¬â with the movie theatre, ââ¬Å"embossed by silvery images. â⬠He then contrasts the parentsââ¬â¢ overprotective instruction with that of a ââ¬Å"pleasant strangerâ⬠who offers the equivalent: ââ¬Å"they will know where candy bars come from and gratuitous bags of popcorn as gratuitous as leaving the movie before itââ¬â¢s over with a pleasant stranger whose apartment is in the Heaven on Earth Bldg near the Williamsburg Bridgeâ⬠These children will learn about adulthood through gaining sexual knowledge. Oââ¬â¢Hara paints a win / win situation. If ââ¬Å"nobody picks them up in the movies/ they wonââ¬â¢t know the difference / and if somebody does itââ¬â¢ll be shee r gravy. â⬠He suggests that if they donââ¬â¢t get their first sexual experience, they will at least have seen a movie, instead of staying in their room ââ¬Å"hating you. â⬠à Oââ¬â¢Hara concludes his poetic admonition with a warning. He cautions mothers not to blame him if they donââ¬â¢t take his advice and their families fall apart. The connection between keeping kids home from the movies and families falling apart may seem far-fetched, but the movies are symbolizing all the things a child is forbidden to do. Too much restriction will push them away. The final image is that of children growing ââ¬Å"old and blind in front of a TV setâ⬠watching the films they werenââ¬â¢t allowed to see when they were small. This gives the impression that no matter how much a mother tries to shelter her children, they will eventually do all the things that were forbidden them. There are several things that draw attention to the mothers, the first being the title of the poem. Perhaps it is an ironic statement on the imperfection of mothers in comparison to the ââ¬Å"Holy Mother. â⬠There are two lines that suggest the mothers might have ulterior motives for sending their children to the movies. Lines 3 and 4 suggest mothers ââ¬Å"get them out of the house so they wonââ¬â¢t know what / youââ¬â¢re up to,â⬠which implies the mothers also have something to hide. These motives are not the main focus of the poem and are undisclosed by the author. We are left to guess what the mothers are really ââ¬Å"up to. â⬠In short, Oââ¬â¢Hara recommends that parents let their children experience life on their own terms. Parents are told that preventing their children from making their own choices will cause resentment and leave the children fantasizing about the experiences they wish they had. A wise parent allows their children to grow into experienced adults by letting them to go out and explore, not coddling by them.
